Exporing with Ease

Getting Around Santa Barbara

Downtown Santa Barbara is best explored on foot. For everything else, here are the easiest ways to get around.

Walk

Nestled in Santa Barbara’s walkable downtown, the Lobero Theater is just a short stroll from the Presidio Neighborhood’s many hotels and restaurants.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft are readily available for a quick ride to the Lobero Theatre’s front door, a great option if you’re staying further afield in Montecito or Goleta.

Rental Car

Perfect for exploring wine country or Montecito. While not needed for most downtown festival events due to parking, all major rental agencies are at the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA).

Bike

Explore like a local with our BCycle electric bike-share program. With docks all over town, it’s the perfect way to cruise the waterfront path or the Funk Zone.

Bus (MTD)

Santa Barbara’s MTD bus system spans the entire city. For easy travel, the Downtown-Waterfront electric shuttle is a great, low-cost option.

Train (Amtrak)

The Amtrak station is conveniently located near downtown and provides easy access for visitors arriving via the scenic Pacific Surfliner route from Los Angeles and San Diego.
