President's Message

The year 2012 will mark a major milestone when the Flamenco Arts Festival’s popular Concierto Para los Niños returns bigger and better than ever.  The Concierto Para Los Niños is an Access to the Arts program that began during the 2001 Festival. This interactive performance is designed to make professional flamenco accessible to children throughout Santa Barbara County. Through the Concierto Para los Niños, the Flamenco Arts Festival seeks to encourage discussion of world cultures and cultural diversity, inspire creativity and expression, introduce the historic relationship between Spain and Santa Barbara, and present the emergence of flamenco as a major component of America’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
